How is the real estate market doing in Oakville in 2020? According to OMDREB, the dollar volume of all property sales processed through the OMDREB MLS system increased from $236 million in 2019 to $516,396,599 in February 2020.

The Toronto Real Estate Market finished off the year in 2019 with 87,825 home sales and that is up 12.6% from 78,015 sales in 2018. The annual average sale price of all types of homes was $819,319 in 2019 and that was up 4% from $787,856 in 2018. The demand remains strong as we head into 2020 and interest rates are steady and so are local employment numbers. There will be more information to follow this post shortly. Wow, recently I showed a home that had terrible smoke odor. Since I am a non-smoker the second I opened the door I could smell the smoke and so could my Buyer clients.
Cigarette smoking in a self-contained area can cause Third Hand Smoke (THS). THS is defined by the Mayo Clinic as a “residual nicotine and other chemicals left on indoor surfaces by tabacco smoke”.
Is now a good time to buy a home or should I wait until 2020? I heard this question several times this week from local area residents who are renting and potentially thinking of buying in the near future. I will try to give an unbiased answer to the question.
