Toronto Regional Real Estate Board President Lisa Patel announced that sales reported through TRREB’s MLS® System by Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® amounted to 11,083 – a new record for the month of September. This was an increase of 42.3% compared to the 7,791 sales in September 2019.
Sales through the first nine months of 2020 were up approximately 1% compared to the same period last year.

According to Re/max Ontario Atlantic Canada, 95% of the real estate districts in the Greater Toronto Area experienced price gains from January to June 2020. That is up from 60% in the 416 area and 50% in the 905 district in 2019. There were steep declines in listings in June. There were close to 14,000 listings and that is the lowest total since 2016 when there were 12327.
The above graph shows the Google trends for Real Estate Brand searchs in Canada. Re/max, Royal Lepage, Century 21, Sothey's International and Keller Williams were used in this search. Re/max is number one for on-line searches in 2020.
