Green Renovations on your House will pay dividends later!

On August 27th 2019, the Federal government announced a new Energy Savings Rebate Program of up to $200 million.  The program is geared towards helping Canadian home owners reduce carbon emissions and save money. 

Shoppers will be able to receive up to 25% off eligible energy saving products.  Specifically buyers can save $500 on the following products:

•ENERGY STAR certified washer                                                              

•ENERGY STAR certified dryer

•ENERGY STAR certified washer/dryer combo

•ENERGY STAR certified dishwasher

•ENERGY STAR certified air purifier/room air cleaner

•ENERGY STAR certified smart thermostat

•ENERGY STAR certified ductless mini split indoor unit (air source heat pump)

•ENERGY STAR certified room air conditioners

•ENERGY STAR certified ceiling fans

•ENERGY STAR certified dehumidifiers

•Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) Tier 3 certified refrigerators and refrigerator-freezers

•Electric vehicle home chargers

•Induction stovetops

In addition, there are $1000 rebates for •ENERGY STAR certified tankless condensing water heater and heat pumps. 

These products can be found at RONA, Canadian Tire, Lowe’s, Best Buy, Tepperman’s and many others. 

Why not take advantage of the Energy Savings Rebate Program and make an investment in your home?  It is a great investment because you will save on energy bills and add to the equity of your home.  Buyers like to buy homes that are energy efficient and that have energy efficient appliances in them as well.  It is an investment that will pay off now and in the future.  More information can be found on-line at:
